Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the WirePath VPN service provided by Wire Path LLC ("WirePath," "we," "our," or "us"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

WirePath is designed to protect the privacy and security of ordinary internet users. We strongly believe in an open, free internet and in our users' right to privacy. However, that right does not extend to harming others or breaking the law.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the WirePath Service to engage in, facilitate, or support any of the following:

2.1 Illegal Activity

  • Any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Distribution, possession, or transmission of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors
  • Unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or data (hacking, cracking, unauthorized intrusion)
  • Fraud, identity theft, phishing, or other deceptive practices
  • Sale or distribution of illegal drugs, firearms, or other contraband
  • Any activity that violates US export control or sanctions laws (see our Export Policy)

2.2 Network Abuse

  • Denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against any target
  • Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or probing networks without authorization from the network owner
  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating spam botnets
  • Running open mail relays or open proxies that are used to send spam or conduct abuse
  • Any activity that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on WirePath's infrastructure
  • Using the Service as a transit point for attacks against WirePath's infrastructure or other users

2.3 Harmful Content

  • Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other malicious code
  • Operating command-and-control (C2) infrastructure for botnets or malware
  • Harassment, threats, or stalking of individuals
  • Content that incites violence or terrorism

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringing on the copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights of any party
  • Operating commercial piracy services or distributing copyrighted content without authorization

2.5 Resale and Commercial Exploitation

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise commercializing access to the Service without our prior written consent
  • Sharing your account credentials with others; each subscription is for a single user

3. Permitted Uses

WirePath is designed for legitimate personal and professional privacy and security use cases, including:

  • Encrypting your internet traffic on untrusted networks (hotels, cafés, airports)
  • Accessing the internet with a stable, dedicated IP address
  • Bypassing geographic restrictions on content where legally permitted in your jurisdiction
  • Remote access to your own systems and networks
  • Privacy from ISP monitoring and metadata collection
  • Security research conducted within lawful boundaries on systems you own or have explicit authorization to test

4. Enforcement

WirePath reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to investigate violations of this AUP. We may:

  • Suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice for violations of this AUP
  • Report violations to law enforcement, government agencies, or affected third parties
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations as required by applicable law
  • Take any other action we deem appropriate to protect the integrity of our network and other users

Because we operate a no-log service, our ability to investigate abuse is limited. However, we take reports of abuse seriously. If you believe someone is using the Service in violation of this AUP, please report it to support@wire-path.com.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will also be communicated via the email address associated with your account.
